Transmission via CAN Interface

A data packet corresponds to a CAN message which is always 8 bytes long and filled with left-justified data. Data packets activated for transmission are sent sequentially with message IDs in ascending order.

The value specified in the column labelled "Message ID offset" is added to the initial ID value (in the configuration). This permits a free relocation of messages in the identifier's available address space.

Example:
If you have selected an initial ID value of 100, the ADMA transmits a status message (offset = 1) with ID 101.

Note:
To guarantee reliable data transmission, it is recommended to use a private CAN node for the ADMA, to which no further subscribers are connected. This is the only way to ensure error-free communication at high sampling rates and data volumes.
