INS-Time UTC#

This data packet contains INS time data (ADMA time). The time indication will be in UTC.

Note:
The ADMA INS Time indication is UTC, Coordinated Universal Time, generally known as GMT (Greenwich Mean Time), or Zulu time. Local time differs from UTC by the number of hours of your time zone.
Difference between GNSS and UTC Time: GNSS time was set to match UTC in 0h 6-Jan-1980, since it is not perturbed by leap seconds. GNSS is now ahead of UTC by 18 seconds (on 31-Dez-2016).
With this data it is possible to synchronize two individual but simultaneous saved data sets. For instance, this is of advantage when the distance between two vehicles is needed on a combined test run.
If no GNSS is installed or should GNSS data reception not be possible, the time being output starts from zero. Then synchronisation of parallel measurements will not be possible.
 
This data packet is only available in the ethernet message format.

Braking Status#

The Braking Status data packet is split into several Bitfields. For details refer to Chapter 8.5.10.

External Triggered Main Braking#

This data packet contains the braking distance and the braking time result data of the external triggered brake stop. The data is transmitted continuously till the vehicle comes to a complete stop.

Velocity Triggered Main Window#

This data packet contains the braking distance and the braking time result data of the velocity triggered (Windowed) brake stop. The data is transmitted continuously till the vehicle comes to a complete stop.

Braking MFDD#

This data packet contains braking distance and braking time result data between the Mean Fully Developed Deceleration (MFDD) velocity limits.

Note:
The MFDD shows the maximum deceleration figure a vehicle can achieve. It is usually the deceleration between 80% and 10% of the trigger activation speed, the time at which the vehicle is loaded up and braking at its highest achievable level.
 
MFDD is calculated by:
MFDD = ((v80%)² – (v10%)²) / (25.92 * (s10% – s80%))
 
Where:
v80% is the speed at 80% of the brake trigger activation speed.
v10% is the speed at 10% of the brake trigger activation speed.
s80% is the distance at which the speed is v80%.
s10% is the distance at which the speed is v10%.
