{"id":24023,"date":"2022-05-24T13:22:33","date_gmt":"2022-05-24T11:22:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/genesys-offenburg.de\/?post_type=smart-docs&#038;p=24023"},"modified":"2025-07-29T12:04:31","modified_gmt":"2025-07-29T10:04:31","slug":"rssi-satel","status":"publish","type":"smart-docs","link":"https:\/\/genesys-offenburg.de\/en\/support\/troubleshooting\/third-party-system-issues\/rssi-satel\/","title":{"rendered":"RSSI value of Satel UHF Modems"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-rssi-value\">RSSI value<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The RSSI signal threshold defines the minimum power level (dBm) for receiving radio signals of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.satel.com\/products\/radio-modems\/satelline-easy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Satel UHF radio modems<\/a> GeneSys is using for <a href=\"https:\/\/genesys-offenburg.de\/dgnss-korrekturdaten\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">DGNSS Correction data<\/a>. Any transmissions below the threshold are ignored by the radio modem.<br>The larger the absolute value, the weaker the received signal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-preformatted\">-110 dBm is a weaker signal than -90 dBm<\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p>The value range is defined as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-preformatted\">-80 to -118 dBm<\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p>Default value:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-preformatted\">-115 dBm<\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p>The radio modem shows the RSSI value of the last received message in dBm on the display by default. On top the current value can be requested via SL-Command locally (SL@R?). The value can be shown for 7 seconds after receiving the message.
