There are two different mountings possible:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Magnetic base mounting<\/a>: on any flat metallic surfaces.
Side window clamp mounting<\/a>: if there is only a non-metallic surface available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Magnetic Base Mounting<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

An installation of the N-angled antenna connector for the WiFi antenna will be needed. The WiFi antenna should always be installed in a vertical position. Make sure that it will not be covered by any object. The WiFi-Kit Outdoor must be mounted with the Ethernet pointing against the driving direction!<\/p>\n\n\n

Side window clamp mounting<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The side window clamp needs to be fixed at the magnetic base with two screws. The WiFi antenna should always be installed in a vertical position. Make sure that it will not be covered by any object. The WiFi-Kit Outdoor must be mounted with the Ethernet pointing down!<\/p>\n\n\n

Although the WiFi-Kit Outdoor is weather-resistant, we strongly recommend to cover the N-Type
connector from the device to the antenna with self-amalgamating tape to help protect it from moisture.
To improve the signal strength of the vehicle to vehicle communication the mounting location and antenna angle can be adjusted.
The antennas for the ADMA, Radio modem or GPRS modem and Wireless LAN should be spaced across the roof of the vehicle, ideally with a distance of around 1m between each other. Locating all antennas in one spot will reduce the performance caused be interference. Furthermore, the cables should not being routed together.<\/p>\n\n\n
